Work Experience

Before founding WesterCloud in 2023 I’ve worked for various companies as a Cloud Specialist or Senior System engineer. My Cloud journey started in 2013 working as a Cloud Migration Specialist.

I’ve designed, implemented and maintained a new Cloud SaaS platform for GP’s and Pharmacies for a healthcare software company. In this role I also participated in (external) audits. I was the main point of contact for all cloud infrastructure, including data connections with third parties. I worked closely with developers and DevOps-teams on deployments of new features and releases. I advised the CISO on security issues.

I was the Azure Expert within a staffing software company. I was responsible for: designing and implementing complex Cloud structures in Azure based on Scale Sets and Load Balancers, On Premise to Cloud Migrations. Matching and exceeding corporate/client requirements. Monitoring Network and Firewall security using Sophos.

I acted as a strategic cloud advisor and technical lead for clients and their IT experts: designing (cost efficient) cloud transition strategies and improving their Cloud/On Premise ICT infrastructure and security.

Projects: Designing and implementing new (customer) cloud platform based on Scale Sets, Load Balancers, App Services, Azure SQL, AAD and Sophos Firewall. Migrating on-site ICT systems to Azure. Designing new infrastructure for additional office locations. Designing automatic system monitoring. In charge of implementing new firewall. Integrating ICT architecture from acquired companies. I made contributions to ISO certification.
